Danya Sanchez, MOTR/L

Danya Sanchez is licensed to practice occupational therapy in Texas and Virginia. She has 13 years of experience in practice.
She has over 10 years of experience working with elderly in their homes, ALFs, rehabs, and SNFs. She also worked with patient with traumatic brain injury in a live-in inpatient home in Dripping Springs, Texas. She has helped address fall prevention, home modifications, as well as physical and cognitive needs of her clients. Developing a support system to assist patients has also been important to her in order to help patient remain safe, and to help patients maximize therapy goals and exercise programs. She has also worked with pediatric clients in the home, clinic, school system, and via tele-therapy.
Danya is originally from South Louisiana where she completed her BS in Animal Science and minor in Biology at LSU in Baton Rouge in 2002. She completed her MOT at the Health Sciences center in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2006. Shortly after completing her OT degree she lived in Richmond, VA for 3 years. After marrying her husband in 2009, they moved Austin, TX and are now currently living in McAllen, Texas with their 2 children and very patient dog.
