Maureen Palmer, MS, OTRL, CAPS
Graduate of the University of Wisconsin earning a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy & Eastern Michigan University with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.
Maureen is the owner of Focus Point Therapy, LLC and has been practicing Occupational Therapy at this clinic for almost 2 decades. Maureen has 17 years of experience in hospitals, 10 years of home care, plus earned her Specialist Certified Aging in Place certification. She has evaluated and worked with school aged children in a dozen schools over the past 20 years. She is certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test.
She has three significant transformational stories that have occurred during her own lifetime. These events have been so life-changing that she has hope for others who have lost hope for improvements in their own lives until she evaluates, coaches and treats them.
Maureen has cutting edge tools that work with the neuroplasticity of the brain to help individuals recover from plateaus typically gained in traditional therapies.
Monika Robinson, DrOT, OTR/L
Monika Robinson, DrOT, OTR/L is a licensed Doctor of Occupational Therapy and founder of Living Fully At Home, LLC, a firm specializing in promoting optimal living at home.
Dr. Robinson has over 30 years of experience providing customized care for a variety of age groups and health conditions while working in healthcare facilities, community agencies and home care. She is currently an assistant professor for a Doctorate Occupational Therapy Program in the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University and holds a professional occupational therapy license in four states (IL, IN, IA, & WI). She has lectured locally and nationally on topics of home/community based practices, treatment methods, and healthcare approaches. Her research focuses on the home environment, assistive technology, and community participation.
Monika is passionate about people being able to do those things that are most important to them in all aspects of life-- whether that is helping come up with strategies to live at home or to advocate for themselves---all of this is geared towards the goal of being able to handle the challenges in living a full and meaningful life.
Stephanie Kibler, MS, OTR/L
Ms. Kibler works closely with other health professionals to understand and treat the symptoms of dysfunction, and strongly believes in enhancing the quality of life of each patient. She also believes in the importance in developing a solid rapport with each patient to best help them recognize and minimize dysfunction. Her passion lies in applying strengths-based approaches to maximize ability, optimizing independence and maintaining overall well-being.
Ylencia Ford, OTR, MOT, CWC
Ylencia (pronounced lynn-see-uh) is a health and wellness professional who has dedicated much of her life to helping others to live their best life. Her 18 year long career as a licensed and registered occupational therapist has been focused on serving the geriatric population in a variety of health care settings. For the last 10 years, she has worked exclusively on meeting the needs of the elderly in their homes by addressing issues of safety, home modifications, fall prevention, and maximizing independence in daily tasks though a variety of strategies. Using tools to address the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of her clients, she has been able to assist so many people to safely stay in their homes in their later years.
Ylencia has a depth of experience and training in chronic disease management, dementia care, post stroke rehabilitation, and aging in place. Her passion for wellness led her to study and receive certification as a Health and Wellness coach in 2014. So, in addition to her work as an occupational therapist, she also now offers wellness programs to assist clients of all ages in establishing healthy habits around food, sleep, stress management, and proper movement - all of which play a crucial role in aging well and living life to the fullest.
In her spare time, Ylencia enjoys traveling, crafting aromatherapy products, taking fitness classes, and cooking delicious meals for her friends and family. After living in the bustling city of Dallas, Texas for 16 years, she moved to central Texas 2 years ago to be closer to her aging parents. She is excited to share her passion for health and wellness for years to come with even more people through the various channels we have available today, including telehealth, digital resources, and community building online.
Julia Lindsey, MS, OTR/L
Julia Lindsey, MS, OTR/L is a licensed Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University and a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapist from the University of Indianapolis.
Julia has been a practicing therapist for over 30 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including home health, skilled nursing facilities, schools and teletherapy. She is licensed in multiple states including IN, KY, TX, AL, and SC. She works with the aging population to maximize their independence and ability to stay in their home addressing home safety, falls prevention, and home modifications.
Julia has been a caregiver for her husband who has a degenerative disease and multiple health concerns. She understands the stress related to caregiving and provides health and wellness coaching for caregivers so they can begin to care for themselves while caring for their spouse or family member.
Danya Sanchez, MOTR/L
Danya Sanchez is licensed to practice occupational therapy in Texas and Virginia. She has 13 years of experience in practice. She has over 10 years of experience working with elderly in their homes, ALFs, rehabs, and SNFs. She also worked with patient with traumatic brain injury in a live-in inpatient home in Dripping Springs, Texas. She has helped address fall prevention, home modifications, as well as physical and cognitive needs of her clients. Developing a support system to assist patients has also been important to her in order to help patient remain safe, and to help patients maximize therapy goals and exercise programs. She has also worked with pediatric clients in the home, clinic, school system, and via tele-therapy.
Danya is originally from South Louisiana where she completed her BS in Animal Science and minor in Biology at LSU in Baton Rouge in 2002. She completed her MOT at the Health Sciences center in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2006. Shortly after completing her OT degree she lived in Richmond, VA for 3 years. After marrying her husband in 2009, they moved Austin, TX and are now currently living in McAllen, Texas with their 2 children and very patient dog.
